| November Nuptials |
I haven't blogged anything for a little while now I seemed to have been thrown head long into the Christmas thing, well with three boys who have written, edited and rewritten their Christmas lists to Santa Claus (yes he does exist) who can wonder at it! However Christmas aside for one moment I thought today would be the perfect day not only because the sun is gleaming on an almost all blue sky but because today I received a lovely thank you from a gorgeous couple from one of our September weddings and also because I have just come back from a beautiful wedding in Thorpe Market. The thank you came from Jane and Rob who were married on September 19th in Fressingfield near Eye and who's chosen car was Molly our 1962 Morris Minor 1000 who incidentally is having a makeover at the moment. The thank you reads:Dear Vanessa and Rob, This is long overdue, due to internet problems this end and sorting numerous photo's out, but finally to thank you for Molly and Rob, for the excellent company on our wedding day. The journey to the church was great fun with Amy, Lucie and Pete; three girls crammed in the back of Molly with her hood down. Thank you Rob for accommodating a slightly querky set-up and it being pretty spontaneous. Also thank you for the gifts of champagne, the chocolates and a reminder of Molly. We had a fantastic day and with the sun shining, it was perfect. So to my wedding in Thorpe Market... firstly what a lovely genuine couple, Sandra and Merrick were married at Green Farm Hotel & Restaurant on what has to be said one of the chilliest days of this year brrrrrrrrrrrr! Having said that the sun was just fabulous and really no one could have asked for a better day in November. The couple had chosen Sadie our 1961 Morris Minor Saloon as their wedding car and she looked splendid in her Ruby ribbons with hand tied bows. After the wedding ceremony Sadie looked even more of a picture with her "just married" banner on which today's photographer Ben Britton of Sheringham took full advantage of. |

| October Roundup |
October has been a really good month for us here at Champagne Classics with lots of fab weddings the first two being on October 3rd and the last one being on October 31st. The last wedding of the month was in Norwich at St Catherine's Church on the Aylsham Road where Rachel married Jason. The bridal car was Dolly our 1970 Volkswagen Beetle who was dressed in New Gold ribbons. Dolly was very well received as Rachel our Bride had dreamt of being driven to the church in a Beetle since she was a young girl.
We've also met some lovely couples this month who have come to visit us to view the cars. One couple who popped up from Hertfordshire to see Sadie our 1961 Morris Minor Saloon who incidentally booked her went on to send us an email - "Just a quick note to say it was lovely to meet you and Rob yesterday and thank you for welcoming us into your home. You've done such a fantastic job restoring Sadie, we fell in love with her immediately and are soooo chuffed that she'll be with us on our big day!"
It was also my Birthday this month, yes 21 again and my three little boys made a huge fuss of me, my 5 year old took great joy in telling everyone that I was 75! And further more I bet there aren't many people who can say that they've had Happy Birthday said to them through the creativeness of a toast - see the third photo following. |
