Simply put this blog is about a fantastic day that was fantastic all ways round. Saturday June 26th Molly and I tootled off to Hertfordshire for the wedding of Simone and Jamie. The day began with the Father of the Bride being picked up in a dear little village called Great Chishill, he was then taken to where the rest of the wedding party was including the Bride and bridesmaids in another village called Anstey. The Bride, Father of the Bride and the Brides sister who was one of the bridesmaids were taken to the village of Barley which was the best of the lot. The church is amazing with a gorgeous lych gate great for photographs. But also in Barley is the most fabulous town hall called the "town house" because that's exactly what it used to be. The town hall is opposite the church so would make a great reception venue especially as the building is breathtaking out and in with wooden beams and floors. After the wedding ceremony and photographs the Bride and Groom were taken in Molly to Longstowe Hall another amazing venue which has a wonderfully grand facade and set in the most beautiful grounds. As you can probably guess I thoroughly enjoyed today and with the weather being right on form too with temperatures reaching 27 and 28 degrees it was the perfect day.

Three In A Row For Molly and Sadie Makes Four
Well this certainly has been a busy week and with the weather being so fantastic all of our weddings have been bathed in beauitiful sunshine. The week began with a Monday wedding on May 31st in the stunning village of Wansford near Stamford, Peterborough. Molly was the chosen surprise car at the wedding of Zoe and Robin. Robin had booked Molly as a surprise for Zoe which paid off in spades as Zoe was so incredibly thrilled as she put it "this is fantastic, the Morris Minor is my favourite car". The pick up was at the "only hotel in the village" The Haycock where Molly first took the bridesmaids and pageboy to the church in Wansford. Molly then went back for Zoe our Bride who just never stopped smiling. After the wedding ceremony and of course the absolutely essential photographs Molly took the oh so happy couple back to The Haycock Hotel for their wedding breakfast. On Friday June 4th Molly gave another stunning performance at the wedding of Diane and Stephen in the village of Girton, Cambridgeshire. This was another fabulous location with a gorgeous church as the centre point. Stephen had also booked Molly as a surprise for today's Bride and it's safe to say that Diane was well and truly surprised. After the wedding ceremony the couple were taken to The Hotel Felix on the Huntingdon Road in Cambridge. Saturday 5th June and our final two weddings of the week. Both weddings were sensational with both couples being gracious and lovely. Molly was at the wedding of Pippa and Tom. Pippa was taken from Necton near Swaffham to Churchman House in Norwich for the wedding ceremony after which there was an opportunity for photographs before the couple departed with Champagne for the journey back to Necton. The couple had their wedding breakfast at the family farm surrounded by all of their nearest and dearest and amidst a sea of smiley faces. Sadie went off to Bressingham for the wedding of Victoria and Matthew. This was another village wedding in the bright sunshine of the day. After the wedding ceremony and photo call the couple were taken to the thoroughly amazing Bateman's Barn at South Elmham Hall. Bateman's Barn is such a great venue their website is well worth a look.

An Inviting Image
I just have to share this with you. I am overwhelmed and thrilled to have received a wedding invitation, but as you can see not just any ordinary wedding invitation! Dolly our 1970 Volkswagen Beetle is the featured image - brilliant. Nicola and Jon who are due to be married in September wrote: "Dear Vanessa, we thought you might like one of our invitations. We are so excited about having Dolly the Beetle driving us around that we just had to include her on all our invitations!! Really looking forward to the wedding now."
