Where is Champagne Classics based?
We are based in North Norfolk on the East Anglian coastline.
How many cars do you have?
We have four Morris Minor 1000's and a Volkswagen Beetle.
   
Chauffeur driven or Self Drive?
All of our cars are chauffeur driven. We take away the stress, allowing you to enjoy every moment of your day.
Is the service you offer graded by price?
No. Our service is the same A1 service for everyone and is not based on "the more you pay the more you get"!
   
How much will my booking cost?
All of our bookings are priced individually to accommodate our customers special requirements that are unique to them, therefore price is on application. Guide price for up to 4 hours £130 - £225 in a 25 mile radius of base. Please note that bookings commencing after 6pm will incur a 25% surcharge which will be added to the booking price.
Will I have to pay a deposit?
Yes, a non refundable deposit of 50% of the total booking fee is required to secure the booking.  If the booking is made under 28 days prior to the event then the full balance must be paid. Bookings are held unsecured as a gesture of good will for a maximum of 7 working days after this period it will be assumed that our services are not required.
   
How can I pay?
At Champagne Classics we accept personal cheques, bankers drafts and also internet payments through paypal (subject to terms and conditions).
When do I have to pay the balance of my booking?
The balance is required 14 days prior to the date of the event by cheque, bankers draft or paypal.
   
Do you offer a discount for booking more than one car?
Yes, if you book two cars for the same occasion on the same date then a 10% discount will be applied and if three cars are booked then a 15% will be applied. Discounts are given at the discretion of Champagne Classics based on the event area (subject to terms and conditions).
Do you take bookings from all over the UK?
Yes, although we are based in Norfolk (Anglia) we are happy to undertake any booking where ever it might be in the UK (excluding Dolly). All that we ask is that should you require us to travel outside of our county range that you understand the price will reflect the requirements of the booking.
   
Do I have to have the traditional white ribbon on the car?
No, you can choose any colour ribbon for your car especially if you have a particular colour scheme in mind for your day and you would like to follow this through with the car. The choice is yours! Click Here For Colours
Do the Chauffeurs wear uniforms?
No, our Chauffeurs are always immaculately dressed in dark tailored suits, shirt and tie. We have found this approach to be less rigid helping to create a more relaxed atmosphere which in turn makes our chauffeurs more amenable.
   
Will I get my dress in the car?
This is probably the most frequently asked question by our Brides to be and the answer is a resounding yes! All four Morris Minors have a split front passenger seat. This type of seat rolls completely forward allowing our Brides and other bridal party members to simply step gracefully in and out of the cars with the minimum of effort. All of our cars have more than ample space for any type or style of wedding dress. We take great care to ensure that our Brides arrive looking as stunning as when they get into one of our cars as they do when they get out this is something that we guarantee.
How many people can be carried in the cars?
The MM Traveller seats three in the back and one in the front. The MM Convertibles and Saloon seat two in the back and one in the front. Our VW Beetle seats two in the back one in front.
Will the bridesmaids have champagne?
Yes, if you book a second car with us for your bridesmaids we will offer complimentary champagne to them on the journey to the wedding reception. Bridesmaids must be 18 or over to indulge! No cash alternative will be offered.
   
Do you supply Champagne?
Yes we most certainly do, we wouldn't be "Champagne Classics" without a drop of bubbly! We like to spoil you on your special day, so along with the specially selected complimentary champagne you will also be given a well chosen selection of chocolates presented in a handmade box. Our aim is to make sure you have a truly wonderful time.
Are the cars just available to the Bride and Groom?
No, the cars are ideal for other members of the bridal party, to include the Mother and Father of the Bride or Groom and of course bridesmaids and best man. Please be advised we are unable to transport groups of people outside the immediate bridal group as we are not a hackney carriage company and as such are not insured for this type of conveyance.
   
Is there enough room in the back of the Convertible for two?
Our cars are quite deceptive in size, they are petite on the the exterior however unlike modern cars they are extra roomy on interior lending themselves perfectly to a comfortable and very romantic journey. Therefore the simple answer is yes.
Can we come to see the cars?
Yes, we are always happy to receive visitors. Appointments to view any or all of the cars can be made during the week and on some weekends. You will be made to feel very welcome. Please note viewing is strictly by prior arrangement.
   
Will there be time to have photographs taken?
Photographic opportunities are extremely important at your wedding, therefore we are highly flexible and give maximum time prior to the wedding ceremony and after the ceremony for photographs to be taken. Our chauffeurs always do their utmost to work with your chosen photographer, maneuvering the cars to get the perfect shot, something they are well practiced in. So remember to Smile!
Will you confirm our booking?
Yes, our booking process has developed over 10 years of experience and we have found that keeping our customers fully informed at every step of the way is not only reassuring but avoids any possible misunderstandings. You will receive in total three letters, one with your booking form, one on the return of your booking form and deposit, and one on receipt of your final payment. We keep in full contact throughout and welcome correspondence and calls from our customers too.
   
Will the car be clean after it's long journey?
We travel all over the country with our cars and of course on our far flung adventures the cars do pick up their share of muck along the way. We always allow plenty of cleaning time before any event so that our cars arrive looking at their very best time after time. Closer to home all of the valeting work is personally overseen by Vanessa, after all such an important job needs a woman's touch!
What if we book a Convertible and it rains?
Both Convertibles have a canopy which can be raised should there be a shower of rain.  We also carry very generously sized white umbrellas in all of our cars which our drivers will use to escort passengers to the venue entrance.  If you have booked one of the Convertibles and any of the other cars are available we will with the permission of the customer use one of these other cars in the place of the Convertible.  We don't recommend taking the Convertible out on a booking if there is a torrential down pour.
   
What if we need to cancel?
We appreciate that sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances customers do need to cancel bookings.  As set out in our terms and conditions we do not refund deposits. However, if the full balance has been paid then we will refund 50% of this this amount minus the deposit (subject to terms and conditions). Wedding insurance is advisable.
Do you just take wedding bookings?
Weddings and civil ceremonies are our specialty as they say however, we are happy to spread the Morris Minor fun around what ever the occasion - school prom's, birthday surprises, promotional events, TV and film.  Please note that bookings that commence after 6.30 pm will be subject to a 25% increase per hour.
   
Can we have more than one trip if we only book one car?
As part of our bridal package we offer a first trip for bridesmaids to the ceremony venue providing the venue is no more than a ten minute drive away from the pick up point. This is based on a maximum of three persons and by prior arrangement. Further trips are chargeable at £20 per journey.
What if our car breaks down on the day?
Our cars are regularly serviced and checked to ensure that this eventuality doesn't become reality. However this is not to say that we are not realists and that a breakdown couldn't happen especially as all of our cars are getting on a bit! Therefore for peace of mind we have the following plans in place:
1. All of our drivers are AA covered
2. All of our drivers have some if not a lot of Morris Minor and VW Beetle mechanical knowledge to enable them to make road side repairs.
3. If it is within our power we will substitute the broken down car with one of the other Champagne Classics cars.
Do the cars have good luggage space?
Luggage space is limited and therefore please check with us first if there is anything in particular that you need carried.
   
Do you convey children in your cars?
Yes we do, however due to the seat belt laws and our duty of care we advise that children under the age of 3 do NOT travel in any of our cars. We do NOT allow children of any age in the front. Children over the age of 3 are permitted to sit in the back without seat belts. If you are unsure click here or ask us.
What would happen in extreme weather conditions?
In the event of extreme weather conditions and absolute impossible driving conditions disabling the operation of any of the Champagne Classics cars a full refund will be offered. It may be advisable to ensure you have wedding insurance for any eventuality.
